For the first time, doctors have found evidence of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in a young athlete who was an active NFL player at the time of Chris Henry's death. Full story: http://health.wvu.edu/newsreleases/news-details.aspx?ID=1515

Experts at the Brain Injury Research Institute (BIRI) at West Virginia University said today that an examination of Chris Henry's brain tissue revealed the same kind of damage found previously in older, retired players who had histories of concussion.

  • Great. i too think i have got this. i guess the brain is a very fragile delicate organ.

  • Does not show on a CAT scan . Does not show on an MRI. So folks are gonna have a hard time convincing people they've got it!

  • I think I might have this from concussions.

  • Good work guys!!!

  • Wow. This is shocking. What about all of the 15 year old boys playing contact football in high school? We can't let them take this level of brain damage.
