The Collings Jumbo acoustic Guitar has a beautiful sunburst finish. It is slope shouldered dreadnought with an even and full tone. The low end is slightly percussive - perfect for acoustic blues players. Collings offers the CJ in different wood options. The inlay on the headstock and fretboard on this CJ are incredible. Call Sound Pure today to custom order your new guitar from Collings or any other manufacturer we carry.

  • sounds very thin... looks good though.

People - avoid GAS. Listen to musicians - don't watch guitars....

  • @bluesgurugod Hmmm, very interesting comment, we are trying to figure out how you came to that conclusion- maybe you don't like his style... look out for the other video on this guitar, with a totally different player... we know what thin sounds like, and there is nothing thin about this particular guitar... what is your listening environment like? Obviously the playback has a lot to do with it.

  • @soundpurestudios you're right - one of my speakers was cut out... sounds better now - and nice playing too. Still - avoid GAS, listen to musicians and don't watch guitars.. (it's a bad sickness... I know...;)

  • @bluesgurugod Thanks for your response, glad to hear it, and certainly agree with your perspective overall.

  • @timbov123 While we appreciate the constructive critcism, we simply can't pack all of that into a single demo that holds peoples attention. So, we have since released one, if not two additional videos of this guitar. You can find them on our website, on this guitars dedicated page. That being said, if you are serious about purchasing this (or any other instrument that we have available) we will do what we can to get you the specific content you need to make a decision!!!

  • @Jimi0Hendrix I agree. A perfect demo would include some light, medium, and heavy strumming to get an idea of the headroom and natural compression when chording. With a good mix of open and closed position chords. Some up the neck stuff to hear how the intonation is and then some fingerstyle stuff. And of course a healthy dose of flatpicking.

  • @Jimi0Hendrix We have another demo out there (or at least coming soon) with a completely different player, and completely different style of playing... we bring in some great guitarists from different genres for our demos to cover as much as we possibly can. Are you serious about purchasing this guitar? If so, we can certainly prepare some sound clips of this specific instrument that are more exactly what you are wanting to hear.

  • A fine demo, but how 'bout letting us hear som more full chords than just that last one? Would really like to hear some more of that:)
