"Here's Hulk Hogan, whoopee big deal" .. Bobby Heenan is the Ric Flair of Management/Commentary. Genius.

@theenforcer1977 This is still alot better than the kiddie crowd we have today. At least the matches back then were good and looked real unlike today's WWE....

@ladykiller85 Another thing about Flair here. You could tell his promo was scripted. Not nearly as fun and wild as NWA.

@ladykiller85 The kiddie crowd WWF had back then only liked cartoon characters.
-
@MidnightBashem Me too . It was far better back then

KABOOM! This was HUUUUUUGE back in the day!

haha the audience is about 50 middle aged men and women in suits and church clothes doing the thumbs down

I was only 11 when this happened. I just started watching WCW months before this so I knew of Ric Flair. Man if I was older this would have been such an awesome moment. I was too young to realize how big a deal this was

1990-91 was the best, and 1991 promised some amazing storylines that for one reason or another didn't really go anywhere. Kinda disappointing and with an increase in REALLY bad gimmicks, lots of people coming/going/coming back and endless face/heel turns i lost interest by 92, as did a lot of people :(
Vince really dropped the ball not having him and Hulk Hogan wrestle.

Notice when Flair made the inuendo to that woman there was NO reaction. The WWF audience wasn't nearly as grown up as the NWA/WCW audience. Maybe that's why Flair wasn't as over as he should've been in WWF between 91-93-They just didn't get him.
