The JT8D will be with us for a long time. The Air Force has selected it as the replacement engine for their Boeing 707 based JSTARS aircraft fleet, replacing the old JT3D's's. Each will be propelled by four of these bad boys.

What scenery package is this? It really looks too good for FS9. Looks more like something from FSX. Also, which model did you use for the 727? I'm having trouble finding a good one. They either don't have a VC cockpit, or they crash my compter.

@sunsetarts ...It is the FlyTampa St Martin scenery..The package is Very Good as it also includes the interesting and difificult St Bart and Saba airports with the same level of detail Quality.
With this package it is extreme Island Hopping FUN!
The Aircraft in this video is the excellent freeware Vistaliners 727 by Erick Cantu.
I also own the Captain Sim 727 however I switch between these two 727 models to maximise the use of the high Quality liveries that are available for both models.

"Music By: Pratt & Whitney JT8D's" Love it! Those JT8D's are some of the best sounding jet engines out there. Never flew on a 727 before. But I have ridden in another classic JT8D-powered plane, the good old MD-80.

@bamaslamma1003 Those classic engines had it all!!!
They really screamed from the inlet side and without the exhaust hush kit \ stove pipe, the JT8-D's can shake and rattle any Airport during take off as they created an impressive roar that sounded more like a rocket then jet engine.
When at idle the P&W's turbine blades almost had a musical ring to them that was an unmistakable JT8-D note.
Best of all they were a very safe and reliable power plant.
Thanks For Watching!!!
