Self explanatory.. Sending a message out to the youth (and some adults), know your history and heritage.. Be strong like the leaders b4 us.. STOP conforming to this false Black culture that the media shows!

The reason blacks lump their pride into one is due largely to the fact that most of us can't trace our ancestry any further back due to the splitting of family's and the loss of knowledge native languages and history once we got to America. Otherwise, it would be narrowed down further like those immigrated here willingly. Yesterday was Irish pride. In May, everyone will be Mexican for a day. Do you get mad at their pride? Nope.

Its a song that has come to be know as the "Black National Anthem" that isnt the name of the song its called "Lift Every Voice". It is a beautiful song written in a tough time. Please stop speaking badly of it. Anything that can give people hope for the future should be cherished not downed.

Asian national anthem, pacific islander national anthem, Jewish national anthem, etc, etc Why is it a racial thing? The song is the national anthem written by Francis Scott Key.
