  • So if I get hired by air canada here in montreal as a pilot. will I operate regular flights out of montreal all the time. because I really don't want to be away from home alot.

  • Well, at Jazz you'll be away from home for 1,2,3 or a maximum of 4 days at a time. One of the sacrifices of the job my friend!

  • Are these ferry flights you are on or do the pilots not mind that you are not in the cabin? I think its great you will be flying soon! I'm about to change careers myself from sales and marketing to being a pilot! Good luck with everything!

  • Whenever I am working and I have passengers in the back I have to sit in my jumpseat in the cabin at all times. I took some of my videos on ferry flights. On this particular video I had a confirmed seat and I was deadheading (on the job, but repositioning as a passenger on the flight). The flight was oversold so I offered to sit in the flight deck (best spot on the plane!) and give my seat to a passenger.

  • Can't agree with you more - the flight deck is the best seat (jumpseat) in the house! Keep the videos coming!

  • @MrCars How many hours TT and PIC do you have. I heard the mark at Jazz is currently around 3000-4000TT.
