Become a foster parent, have a sweet kid be given to you and then you have to give them back to the jackass family that abused or neglected them after loving them so much.No matter how long you have them you might be the only clam in the storm of their lives and that matters. I bet you cant do it!
there is NO money in it, they give you enough to cover one meal a day for the child. And most of my kids I have had to fight for what was in their best interest cause everyone else saw them as a number.
I dont feel that ANYONE has the right to put down a foster parent unless you have been one and know what it takes. I am a foster mother of the younger children, and it does take a lot to do it. the kids are great and any issues they have are cause of what has happened to them. their families have done wrong by them and a lot of the time the system has done wrong by them and most of the time the foster family is the only one it their corner cause they love the kid.
I just ran across a clip of her on CBS specifically avoiding answering a question about how long she had any of those foster kids. So, far from raising those 23 foster kids, they were allowed no more than 3 children at a time and only for a few weeks at the least. The idea of raising them through graduating high school is a lie unless they were all 17 years old and with in weeks or months of graduating high school.
Not your typical foster children? What she describes are what most foster children face which is why they are in foster care. I can find little info on her own children except that they were all much younger than the foster children that were only teenage girls. We can assume that in the family atmosphere they were required to watch and help with the younger children.
Listen: she says "They were not infants, they were teenagers". Other reports say her license limited three kids at a time, longest 3 years, shortest 2 weeks. She never "raised up" 23 kids, and in most cases they were not in her house long enough to go through high school.
