The film that the BBFC tried to ban.
Where do you go when you're bored rigid with shopping malls and numbed to the kidneys by MTV? You go for raw physical experience, adrenaline, endorphins and pain. You surf angry, skate to die and ride high over the earth at 90mph on your dirt bike-when you wipe out you repair the damage yourself.
The most challenging video on youth culture you're ever likely to see, Physical Graffiti treads the road to glory with America's leading and finest, including Shaun Palmer, Christian Fletcher, Jeff Emig and Jason Jesse with music from Tricky, Massive Attack, Alex Reece and Olive.
@swinch2187 Ah crap... the DVD is cut compared to the Channel 4 version! WTF?
From the BBFC website:-
1998 release, documentary about body shaping
Some of the goriest elements removed from the following scenes:
A man hanging from butcher's hooks that have pierced his back
Self induced vomiting
Huge ball bearings and spikes being inserted under the skin
Shown on Channel 4 schedules, under their 4Later slot without the excessive BBFC interference that the video release suffered.

The BBFC tried to ban this? Doubt that very much, there's nothing in it to ban!
I saw it in Channel 4 back in 1999 / 2000... and I promptly bought the VHS back then.
And I got the DVD this week, have just watched it... it is probably my favourite documentary...
