TFiJ20: Papa & Luke do a Triathlon

Back on a hot hot hot day in July, Papa and Luke participated in the Yatsuo-machi triathlon. Here are some highlights of our day, mostly of Luke. Papa's race began first, at 9am. He swam 750 meters in the pool, winding his way back and forth, trying not to get kicked in the head by other swimmers! Then it was off on a 16km bike ride in the mountains. That was tough! After that, the final part was to run 5km. After finishing his race, papa watched Luke finish his. Luke was the youngest participant of all- one of only two 1st graders to compete. He swam 100m, biked 2km, and ran 1km. He won a gold medal for his efforts! Awesome kid.
