@MooPotPie yeah and give giorgio "the hair" somethingos something else to wear besides that brown suit while youre at it. on a different note i think the book that kubrik's 2001 was based on came before erich von daniken's book. the movie suggested the idea that aliens merely gave the ancient apes knowledge through the monolith but that was about it.

Perhaps the ancient aliens were not aliens at all. Did anyone stop to consider the possibility that these ancient people were just as advanced as us if not more?
Why does ancient people have to be dumb? I bet Earth goes through a cycle that is designed to cleanse itself of humans every so often...as often as necessary.
Why isn't possible to believe that on this 4.6 billion year old planet that humans have risen and fallen thousands..perhaps millions of times? And we would have little evidence

Could those grid have been different if we had calculated the tectonic plate shifts over the years? Or maybe, could be that 4,000 years for tectonic shift is merely an inch away? Just randomly popped in my mind.

@Channel79productions I completely agree with you. Why don't they discuss the difference between navigational use, and the fact that there is higher than normal eletromagnetivity activity on these lines. They mention the energy, but not much. They concentrate on the "navigational assistance" idea. Obviously, the visitors knew they could travel using free energy along these lines. I like this series, it makes good points, but they purposely leave holes in the arguments, assuming public stupidity.
I absolutely love this show, and I think a lot of what they say makes sense, but I find one thing in this episode doesn't make much sense. Ancient man built these monuments to help E.T.s navigate? These beings built machines that can travel light years from their planets, navigate all the way to Earth, and then they need visual reference points built by man or they wouldn't be able to find their way around Earth? I don't buy that. They were built for them, but not for VFR navigation.

@consciousopinion Ha ha! Me too! He's so enthusiastic it's as if his head is about to explode. Sometimes his hands start gesturing before his words catch up with them!
…. but for heaven's sake, as much as I respect Erich von Daniken as the father of all this, couldn't someone give him something else to wear besides that same damn blue blazer we see in every episode?
