  • So the free thing is also the best?

  • @Ratocx the free thing has the best output, but it's also by far, the hardest to use.

  • What? It seems only deshaker makes the footage really stabilized. The other twoo seem to introduce even more shake. I tried deshaker yesterday, I stabilized my own footage shot with tripod-as-steadicam and then my friend's snowboarding video. Both results were mighty impressive.

  • Deshaker is unreal. I haven't seen anything do anywhere near as good a job so far. It's just such a pain to use.

What's the tripod as steadicam method? Holding the camera from the end of a tripod? Hmm. I must try things.

  • @sk8rman123 you need to create 4 different layers and adjust the frames on each for each corner.

  • Deshaker is the beast !! i have deleted so many movies because of the imense shaking.

  • next time a wind sock lol

  • Not quite. If you want to use tripod as steadicam you have to extend it a bit, mount your camera, then grab it in the center of mass. The way steadicam works is that it has a gimbal in the center of mass, you will have to replicate the gimbal movement with your hand. Try searching for "tripod steadicam" here on youtube, there are several good videos on it.

  • Thanks.... the only way I could get Vegas to do this is the crop feature....

  • yes, its track motion
