Several months had passed since The X-Men defeated Magneto and imprisoned him in a plastic chamber. One day, a mutant going by the name of "Nightcrawler" infiltrates The White House and attempts to assassinate The President. Meanwhile, Logan is trying to discover his past, and wonder why he became a mutant. However, the friction between the humans and mutants is grinding much harder. As a scientist named William Stryker is assigned to discover about Professor X's secret school and his chamber called "Cerebro". Meanwhile, Magneto's partner, Mystique, is planning to break her leader out of prison. Then, Professor X's school is attacked by Stryker's forces. Logan, Rougue, Iceman and others escaped. The rest of The X-Men meet in Boston along with Magneto, who escaped from prison. They must work together to stop Stryker and rescue Professor X. Written by John Wiggins

  • Great to see all the cast working so well together.

  • This os still the best in my opinion, considering the budget a.d time it came out. However if X-Men First Class does its sequel like this compared the first X-Men it will easily be the best superhero movie ever.

  • Why, Brett Ratner, WHY??

  • @Scene68 In X2 they didn't make him the leader. They immobilized Cyclops and Xavier, which made Logan the De facto leader. However, it seemed like Magneto was calling the shots more than him. I do give Singer his props: He did allow us to see some great action with Cyclops in one and two, but it's the character driven plots that make a movie, and a character, timeless. I look for these in films, especially comic book movies, huge fan :). Singer was able to rectify himself in First Class

  • @abjh74 I miss Bryan Singer's direction of the franchise.

  • @Scoonertuna he too. I didn't like how they made Wolverine the leader in the films and gave Cyclops less to do but blame the writers on that one.

  • @Scene68 Really? I thought, out of all the characters, Cyclops got the biggest shaft of them all. I mean the man had no story arc what so ever. At least Storm got to become something: The leader of the X-Men.

  • @Scoonertuna Yeah i heard about that. A lot of it had to do with creativity differences. Halle wanted her character to be embraced as she is in the comics but Bryan was solely focused on the Wolverine, Jean and Cyclops characters and Storm was pushed to the backburner. I honestly cannot blame Halle for being frustrated with him because in both his films all Storm do was fly the jet and didn't fly until X3.

  • @Scene68 Did you know Halle Berry and Bryan Singer didn't get along at all.

  • 0:24 onward, Gustav Holst's The Planets: Mars, Bringer of war.

Excellent choice of music. Made this trailer memorable.
