This is video from the Wild Horse Wind Farm 15 miles east of Ellensburg, WA. The turbine is a Vestas V80 sitting atop a 221 foot tower. The rotor is 264 feet and can generate power with winds between 9 and 31 MPH. The two antenna like structures seen on the closeup of the turbine nacelle are used to control pitch angle and yaw rotation of the turbine. There are a total of 127 turbines in the farm capable of powering approximately 55,000 homes.
