Perhaps the originator and the first practitioner of what the twentieth century came to know as "total war," William Tecumseh Sherman in 1864 commanded the Union armies of the West in the decisive drive from Chattanooga to Atlanta and the famous "march to the sea" across Georgia.

  • @RPenta "I will leave fascist apologetics [sic, dumbfuck]..."

Yes. After all...however could Nazism be equated with a political party that had racial superiority as a basis of its creation?

    Great Argument. Really.

"To call the CSA soldiers cowards...."

Is to state historical fact. No other nation with so much surrendered so easily-Finns vs USSR, USSR vs Afgan, US vs GB, Vietnam vs US/France/China.

The CSA is unique in both its immorality & their cowardice.

  • @festdir Yes you are a sick retard.

I will leave fascist apologetics to the Lincoln/Sherman marks.

To call the CSA soldiers cowards is to "mark" yourself as a perfect asshole.

  • @RPenta Red Army tought [sic, retard] Germans"

    Yes.

The Red Army taught the Germans how Nazism was wrong....but at least the Nazis put up a fight, unlike the traitorous cowards of the CSA.

Perhaps you should try to be a Nazi apologist instead.

  • @festdir You mean like how the Viet Cong taught the US Army or how the Red Army tought German civilians?

  • @RPenta "all war criminals claim they do what they do to shorten wars"

And, apparently, all apologists for war-losing, immoral traitors make excuses for losing.

Sherman was not only a general & hero...he was also a teacher. He taught filthy traitors how to behave morally....and how to wave a white flag.

  • @RPenta Sherman was a brilliant strategist, general, and more humane than a lot of the Confederate butchers. And does name-calling make you feel big, sir? FYI my Great-Great Grandfather McRee was a Corporal in Barksdale's 21 Mississippi and my family still lives in Quitman, Mississippi, so I have close ties to the South.

  • @skudaarkaat1 I am not a redneck, you asshole-he was a war criminal-all war criminals claim they do what they do to shorten wars-and win them.

See Bomber Harris and Gen. Curtis Lemay-and Winston Churchill.

  • Sherman did what he did to accelerate the end of the war, nothing more. You rednecks ought to remember what scum like Bloody Bill Anderson and Willian Quantrill did to Union civilians. They killed for pleasure and didn't care wether he killed soldiers of civilians. They were both toilet scum, nothing like Mosby, who was a guerilla but also a gentleman.

  • @festdir *less than FIVE years.

Perhaps you should try being a Nazi apologist instead...although they were as evil & immoral as well, at least they weren't traitors AND they managed to put up a fight.

  • @RPenta "Why don't you quote the rest of that clause..."

    Because it is irrelevant.

The cowards committed treason & Lincoln, legally, beat decency into the immoral traitors....and it took less than four years.

Lincoln was an enemy of filthy cowardly traitors...but he was a great enough man to beat decency into the toothless, inbred subhumans.

    You're welcome!
