That's a blender. The Premium is flowing through the meter, is being measured and flowing backwards into the Unleaded line at the manifold where the hose is attached. The Unleaded check valve has a piece of grit or a damaged seat preventing a good seal. Should be a reverse flow error logged. A tech can fix that in 5 minutes.
It's ticking off in thousandths of a gallon, which isn't a lot. .001Gal = 3.785mL = .75teaspoons. It's not a lot of gas, but way more then evaporation. Maybe a valve after the sensor is leaking? There's many reason why this is happening, and all of them seem bad.
That is a mechanical issue. It happens at all gas stations eventually. Its called meter creep. The check valve is faulty and needs to be replaced. The only way a gas station knows its broken is if people like you tell them. I'll bet the pumps meter was calibrated by a state inspector within the last year. Check the sticker on the pump. Not a BJ's problem... its an industry equipment issue. If you hang up the nozzle like you're supposed to it wont do that.
it's a problem with the pump not BJ's let someone know and it will be fixed next thing you will say is it's a plot by the gas companys.
