Six years after the Taliban were overthrown, Afghanistan is starting to
evolve. Mehbooba, a 19-year-old female athlete, is the living proof of
the changes happening in the country.

  • the problem she was or is facing (i dont know the current situation) is that the afghan gov is threating to imprison the family if she dosent return.

Speed4goal, If you are a marine maybee you can reach out to her family if its not to late.

This girl has alot of courage and all my respect

    if i could help iwould

  • I read somewhere on here she is seeking asylum somewhere.. You know why? She got out of Afghanistan, and saw what civilization is like, probaly in china. Then decided, why do I want to go back to the desert where I have no running water or electricity. And where my neighbors want me dead, for being more successful then them, and not having 10 kids And the track she practiced on is secured by barb wire. So I don't blame her at all more power to her. I bet more 3rd world athletes will follow.
