Chest massage is important part of the full body massage procedure. Of course on womans breast we dont apply pressure. In fact we cannot massage breast, in a manner how we mobilize other tissue. This is not only because of the professional ethics, but because breast is an active gland and we should be pretty careful. But its important to massage muscular structure around the breast, sternum, periosteum, in spaces between ribs, etc. In case of man it is all muscular structure and you can massage the entire chest area.

The Medical Massage protocols were developed in the countries of the Former Soviet block countries. Development and testing of these methods were conducted by many scientific institutions, used for only elite Olympian athletes and were kept in strict secret. The reason for this secrecy was that during the time of the Cold War, Olympic Games and World championships were the only opportunity for West and East to meet and compare their lifestyles. Therefore frequent wins of athletes of the Soviet block countries were used by the Soviet propaganda as a proof of advantages of the Soviet political system and Soviet way of life compared to their Western counterparts.
As mentioned earlier the primary utilization of Medical Massage was for maintaining longevity and injury prevention of Olympian athletes. The Medical Self Massage protocols were developed concurrently with the regular Medical Massage protocols and were used in a situation when the number of patients far exceeded the number of therapists. In such case a massage therapist supervised group self massage sessions. Because self massage were developed by the same scientists and were subject to extensive field tests and control group studies for the last forty years, they are nearly as effective as protocols executed by trained professional therapists.

  • Dear gussinajninen

Thank you very much for so nice comment. Most important for me is to know that this worked for you.

Actually statistically in 95% of self applications this methodology is working.

    Best wishes.

  • It works

  • thank you soo much i had a horrible pain now its gone because you showed me how to thank you soo much your the best!

  • i gues for you its more important ...lol

  • This feels really good, I also did it a little but with the fingertips to dig in on certain spots. I am wondering if the breaking down of fascial adhesions here would help with growth of the upper pectoral muscles for those of us doing incline flies or push ups. Men who grow large muscles here like pro wrestler Chris Masters I wonder if he gets massages to help in recovery from the body building movements.

  • @jxx5 Does hand-washing prevent injury? Or is that like infection avoidance or something? I think at some hospitals some nurses or surgeons who wash their hands a lot suffer some skin breakdown so in addition to that I think health maintenance of hand skin is also important. Perhaps masseurs have an advantage there since they use a lot of oil and cream to keep the skin full of vitamins and moisturized whereas surgeons who only use a bunch of antibiotic soap and not health-building oil would not.
