This was shot and edited by Merritt Lear, in my house. The Holidays always make me feel sort of dreamy and that's what inspired this song. Getting into the spirit... Enjoy! :) XO Sara

  • Oh, yeah, seriously. "The Holidaze" is very "Beatles-esque."

One of the more amazing elements of this song is that it allows me to imagine EITHER John Lennon or Paul McCartney singing lead. Which, if you think about it, is a big accomplishment for any songwriter. I realize that wasn't your goal in writing this song. But you did it just the same! That shows what an AWESOME talent you are!

Are the lyrics posted anywhere? Or, could you please include them here?

  • That is a HUGELY meaningful, wonderful, and intensely flattering thing to say. THANK you sooo much! I grew up on a steady diet of Beatles. My parents had all of their records, which upon discovering them, I devoured. So yes, Paul, John, and indeed George and Ringo are all well ingrained within me!

  • The lyrics to The Holidaze are: Chiming bells and cinnamon smells Twinkling lights aglow I pad around in slippers, take it nice and slow Put on another cracklin log Get out the photos and sing the songs by the fire Feeling so inspired Oh, how I love the Holidaze Familys here, young and old Dogs and the cat come in from the cold Time for everyone to get along
  • Being together is such a treat

    Fleeting time so bittersweet

Remembering the ones whove come and gone

Oh how I love the Holidaze

Its time to start a brand new phase

    One thats better than before

  • This year is coming to an end

Another one is round the bend

Who knows what lies in store

Inside Im nice and comfy warm

    Listening to the raging storm

My mind so still and true

Nowhere to be, nothing to do

Oh, how I love the Holidaze...

    Enjoy! :) Sara

  • Oh my gosh, that is the best compliment ever. Thank you!!!

  • Coolcat has it right. I would have included "The Holidaze" on either the "White Album," or on "Magical Mystery Tour."

  • Wow! THANK you SO MUCH for the lyrics. I LOVE your music!

  • I just heard this song for the first time. BEAUTIFUL!

I know nothing about music, but it sounds very much like something The Beatles could have written.
