I do agree that it is not the greatest interview, but I think that it is not because the interviewer is not good as such. He is just is not the person to interview Broody. A more easygoing person would fit better in this case. Seems that Khan could not adjust to a different interviewee. But I think he is quite good in other subjects with different type of people.

actors often deliberately grow out their hair and beards in between roles, in case their next role demands a certain length of hair or style/length of facial hair.
