  • nasszone,

Nanny says those used were golden delicious. They came out of the backyard. However, we have found Rome work well. Whatever you use make sure they are firm because they cook up.

  • jodyjo10,

Nanny says add a small amount of water but be careful or you will get them too soupy.

  • I believe those were Golden Delicious. They came from a tree out in the back yard. You can use pretty much any kind. Another of our favorites is the "limbertwig" apple.

  • Thanks for the kind words, DanceHallDiva. Mom is pretty amazing. I wish I knew just half of what she does about life. We're hoping to do another video soon. Stay tuned.

  • ynot - Thanks. That's my mom and my sisters. We had a lot of fun with just a cheap point & shoot camera with pretty video capabilities. Be sure & watch part 2. Coming soon - Pinto Beans & Cornbread!
