That's true. I learned that in a Russian History I class in University. Even though Ashkenazi MAY be traced to the middle east, you have to ask the question, where exactly. Face it, you are remnants of a new wave of Jews. Most of the original Israelites died out through slavery and genocide, or just intermarried and were outbred by the surrounding Goyim.

Many have often claimed that Ashkenazic Jews are the descendants of the non-Semitic converted Khazars, but no genealogical records exist of Khazar ancestry to today's Jews, and DNA evidence rejects this common assertion. DNA evidence can trace Ashkenazi Jews back to the Middle east.
