This song is about corporations and how no individual has to feel bad about the negative actions of the collective, because they are just cogs in a machine.

The drones buzzing around the hive are the industrious corporate workers following a precisely timed routine, faithfully showing up to turn the gears of the big business machine. Rats in a maze refers to the "Rat Race", in which most people, seeking the "Cheese" of success find frustration rather than fulfillment (A race that can't be won). Stuck in a daze- they run on Autopilot, completing drudgery, never to be stimulated. The almighty buck comes first; Environmental standards and employee well-being come second to profits. Foresee hundreds of years away- Native Americans thought about the implications of their actions for generations ahead, as those would be their grandchildren. The Earth might be in danger, but don't expect corporations to rein themselves in, because that might mean lost profits. And you know how they feel about that.
