"Mushroom Mario!" - Please Inebriate Yourselves (and please read description first)

Ok this song needs explanation first. This is from the musical Dreaming In Berlin and is the shows new Act 2 opening song. It occurs after Rebecca (played by Caitlin Teeley) gets sick and tired of hearing Simon (played by yours truly) complain about being sad all the time. She ponders and comes across a stash of hallucinogenic mushrooms that she had been saving for a "special occasion". She bakes them into a chicken pot pie and serves it to Simon for dinner without his knowledge. This song takes place after dinner while the duo are sitting and playing Super Mario Brothers...

This is honestly one of my proudest songs I've written.

This song is specifically inspired by the musical genius of Adam Guettel, the circus vibes of My Chemical Romance's "Mama" and this youtube video.
