I bought my first fisheye lens. My camcorder is a Sony Handycam DCR TRV19. The lens is an Opteka .43x HD2. Just testing it out infront of my house, using my F150 has the focus target mainly.

I didn't want to buy a real expensive one, I am aware that there are some better lenses out there, but i'm new to the game and always wanted a fisheye for my camcorder. Got it from 47th st. on ebay for around $40.

Love the lens so far. Maybe one day i'll step up to the Baby Death lens.

  • does it work for any camera?????

  • @ThatKhmerGuy253 If the lens is 28mm - 37mm.

  • is this video zoomed in to cut out a black circle around the frame?

  • @maxlee777 Its a bit of both, in some scenes you can tell its not zoomed, and some it is slightly zoomed.

  • $30 for the lens right? I plan on getting this lens and a Sony Handycam or ZR960. Are those good choices for a beginner?

  • @mattchewy2 Yes this is an excellent beginners fisheye. Was about $49 when I bought mine in 2008.

  • @DarrenWS6 What about a camera with a 78.2mm lens

  • /watch?v=hi92pEeT2vE&feature=channel_video_title

Can someone tell me why it does this?

  • @DarrenWS6 The 0.3X opteka platinum (baby death lens) is only $70 on amazon now dude. I bought it tonight. My Sony HDR-CX12 is 37mm, so it will screw right on, no ring adapters and no lens vignetting like you got with yours.

  • NO MACRO NO PROBLEM

  • @Heyguyslook hey yo can u link me to the site with the 58mm i need one for my canon rebel eos

  • NO LENS

  • put this in your tags it will make it look WAY better. yt:stretch=16:9

  • Great shots of a beautiful property. Nice truck, too. Where is this?

Have you thought of making an image stabilizer? A cheapo DIY steadicam will really smooth out your shots.

    Otherwise, thanks for sharing.

  • U need to clean ur lens a lot

  • @Heyguyslook I just bought the $229 titanium 58mm .3 baby for my soon to come canon vixia hf s200, so check my vids in like a week or two and ill put one to show quality
