Dissidia Replay Edit contest entry for "ROAD TO DUODECIM"
This is my very first Cinematic replay edit for a contest, the only ones i've ever done are for Final Fantasy Still (serious Dissidia Machinima) but those are story driven battles, nothing like this.
This is supposed to be to celebrate the Dissidia: Final Fantasy game and to welcome Dissidia 012 Duodecim which will be coming out 2011. I wanted to make use of the "Assist System" as a basis for this video but i wasn't able to play with that concept too much since my hard drive was really running short on space so i had to make do with what i had during the time.
Like i said this is my first time to make a battle scene that isn't so heavily choreographed or story driven and since this is for fun I decided to play with a few things. I used a lot of ideas that i planned on using for Final Fantasy Still machinima like how i "summoned" Sephiroth or how I make him disappear or even how i used "limit breaks". in terms of cinematography and camera work i tried to experiment a bit with it so i didn't go with how i usually record.
I used a lot of moving and framing in the likes of the battle scenes in Advent Children but sometimes the animations here are too fast for the camera. I also tried to make sure the 2 battles taking place have tight framing so that you can't "see" the other fights in the same area.
for the characters I used the Cloud and Sephiroth rivalry. I know this is over-used and cliche but this is my FIRST replay edit, so i decided that i should experience having a go at this novel duel.

@christiansekhanan There's always going to be those jerks that hate anything that isn't their own work.

You make a great Sephiroth and Squall but a bad Kuja XD. This was very entertaining. Far more than my video.
