This is all just stupid Canadian Government knitpicking. Ask yourself why our government pays thousands of workers to apparently manage the multitude of legislated law in Ontario , while most of the cases never get to first reading. It is apparently very important though , to hear about some guy with a turban , not agreeing with the current motorcycle helmet laws. They "all" waste more money than even pot. Which is now a debate with Layton & May. The "GREEN" party.

Agreed, smoking is a stupid, self-destructive act that no-one with an ounce of sense should ever want any part of; however, the government (ALL governments) are talking out of both sides of their mouths on this issue. The GOVERNMENT makes more money on the sale of tobacco than the manufacturers/retailers do, and if they were serious about "saving lives", they wouldn't be trading 45,000 lives each year for the revenue they get from it.

I concur with ericbrock. in fact, those who started years ago when the long-term effects were unknown, I can understand, but the new generation of young smokers deserves the gruesome tar-filled fate that awaits them for irresponsibly putting more money into the pockets of an evil industry that's killed the parents and grandparents of many decent people. It's about time Canada, let alone Ontario, sent a big "Fuck you!" to the multi million-dollar industry of death.
