(the following proportions are to be taken with a pinch of salt. not literally of course. the proportions and ingredients will change with every soil)
Mud: 7 units
crushed sand/ grit: 3 units
Straw: 3units
Wheat husk: 2 units

- Mix ingredients dry
-add water, let soak overnight
- Remix! (shovel and stomp)
- apply base coat (smack and press)

  • this looks like realy lots of work to do. I tryed to make mudPlaster(surface from soil) on my strawbale experimental house and for me worked this plan:

    fine parted soil(make with rabbit mesh wire), filled in to small pool(old bath), add water(until it is level to top), let 10-15minutes soak soil with water, then mix it with garden tools. This mixture aply to wall and add straw onto wet surface(simply press some straw and what will hold on it, cover with another layer of clay. One man work.
