Underwater the Eagle ray resembles a gliding bird of prey, no wonder why it got its name. The motion of its rhomboid fins looks like the beating of wings and its nose like a bird's beak. During a dive an eagle ray can be found swiftly and gracefully "flying" past in the blue, or if lucky, during its meal, because unlike planktivorous mantas, eagle rays feed on shellfish, mollusks and crustaceans. The Red Sea inhabited by the genus Spotted eagle ray (Aetobatus narinari). Videographer of Camel Dive Club in Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) Carlotta Rio joined an eagle ray during its open water flight, and her new video will help you to see it up close.
