Not necessarily. The cheetah they used for this tourney is half the volume. Also, we're seeing plastic bowling balls being used more and more for the higher rev players. So yes, sticking with plastic is definitely a good idea sometimes, but because of the very dry oil pattern they used for this tournament, it doesn't really show that plastic is a good idea on a weekly basis for these guys. (Well, apparently Ciminelli believes differently :])

my question now is...
they are bowling on a pba pattern .. with plastic balls.. Chris Barnes averaged near 250 in match play ... maybe, just maybe, sticking with these balls would be a good idea.. no!???
