Part 1 of Arkanoid Plus played with two players. In this playthrough, I will be teaming up with my sis Firelily7 (http://www.youtube.com/user/Firelily7). Firelily7 will be playing as Player 1(Red Vaus ship) and I will be playing as Player 2 (Blue Vaus ship).
Arkanoid Plus is technically a modern version of the first Arkanoid games, with several features issued in newer versions, even bringing back several classic stages. This game comes with two zones: Zone 1 which is available when the game is purchased, and Zone 2 which is an add-on that can be purchased for 200 Wii Points.
For4 those who arent familiar with Arkanoid, it is an arcade-style Breakout game where the objective is to destroy all breakable blocks that have been arranged around the playfield (Sometimes in a creative way) while rebounding the ball with your Vaus ship (the paddle at the bottom of the screen that you control). You lose a life if the ball passes your Vaus ship. Usually in most Arkanoid games, when all the breakable blocks have been cleared, you would progress to the next level but this game puts a twist on things. When the stage is cleared the doors on the left and the right side of the screen will open revealing two exits. The player will have the option to either take the left or right exit. Depending on which exit the player takes will determine the next stage (Sometimes one being significantly harder than the other). Each Zone consists of 31 stages (61 if you count that there are two of every stage number except stage 1. For example there are two Stage 2 stages 2L and 2R). At Stage 31, you will face off against one of two notorious bosses which is determined by which exit you take at the end of stage 30. If you take the left exit, you will face of against a new Arkanoid boss called the Crystal Skull which is, you guessed it, a giant skull. If you take the right exit, you will face off against Arkanoids most signature antagonist, Doh, the Interdimentional Fortress which greatly resembles a Moai head.
If you are interested in getting this game, it is available at the WiiWare section of the Wii Shop Channel for 800 Wii points.
