  • this is beautiful and very easy to do but i have a question

being that the luminar is made out of wax wouldnt putting a candle in it melt it as well?

please answer this is deff someone i would love to do to give the rooms a beautiful touch

  • @Honey1675 Sure, if you put a candle in it that produces a lot of heat, it can melt the luminary. The idea is to use a very small candle such as a tealight, or a votive in a votive holder. The small amount of heat isn't enough to melt the luminary. Alternatively, you can stick some of those battery powered LED candles in it for the same efffect.

  • These were just inexpensive cherry-scented water balloons found at our local Walmart. We didn't choose them for any particular reason. It just happened to be what was in stock at the moment.

We only had one pop, and that was because it was dipped deeper than the water line on the balloon.

However, I've been told that people have had better luck with smaller diameter regular (non-water) balloons. So look for the smallest non-water balloons that you can find. I hope that helps.
