Thanks for admitting it's a great riff !! There's a big difference between tryiing to write something original and stealing someone elses work. An acknowledgement on the credits would have been nice. Any songwriter worth his salt does not "borrow" from another song without at least asking permission. Why would I want to "plug" myself on something I wrote nearly fifty years ago.

This is a rip off of Chapter Five's Northern Soul hit "You Can't Mean It" released on CBS in 1966. The Brass riff is identical, you can find the song at chapter5music on youtube.
Both great songs,but if I hadn't heard this in the 80's Dave,I might not have heard your original.Same goes for many other songs that took from Northern Soul.Thank you for writing a stomper,still love it ('',)
