@Iridos0815 : it's likely that the program you see playing is the product of a genetic selection system; it probably isn't breeding smarter logic in real time.
This is just speculation, though, since I am not the author and have not seen the code.
mh, cheat? I remember those from 5 years back (when I was still playing) and they didn't do anything much but mill around and turn. Definitely didn't get better as quickly as this...(or at all?). Improvements since then?
Also: why do they keep spinning when there's nothing to do?
Hm, one more thought - did you try them on the cannon-dodgers map? I actually had written a little peace of code that would evade a single bullet, which worked pretty well in there (save for wall-collisions)
Some suggestions - give the ships personalities with their own shapes. It's easier to tell them apart.
Give some more detail on what you are doing and how you've done it. I would be really keen to see how good the pilots can get and what their control code ends up looking like, how often they sense the other player's location etc...
