  • I have problems similar to this with a GeForce 8600GTS... is that not "new" enough?

  • Unfortunately the most common problem that causes artifacts is overheating and a failing piece of hardware. I'd ensure that it's not getting too hard and that the inside of your rig is dust-free.

  • Resolved this issue with a new video card. made me sad. Oh well, heh

  • That is Video RAM overheating or overclocked too high. WoW eats video RAM for breakfast and is why it would probably play many other FPS like games just fine. I had the same problem.

  • Same thing I'm going through. The horrible screen distortion doesn't always happen (yet) but all the other little things happen often.
