This is another view of the foam being whipped-up by wind, on the surface of the Great Salt Lake out at the Spiral Jetty. I was standing on the Spiral Jetty with my wife Lorna and another photographer, Glenn Wall. when we got back to the truck our pants were white from the knees down. You can see recent images of the jetty at our web site.

  • Hardly anything shows the idea of this project in such an intense way: Nature moving across man's structures, changing it's look every second. You have to know what Spiral Jetty is, though. Good! Thank you for posting!

  • Thanks for the comment. You are so right, This Place changes so much from day to day and this particular day was very interesting. Erosion by the lake has changed the the Jetty but it is still a wonderful piece of art to visit.

  • Really is a big lucky meet with some one who visited the Spiral and meditate some thing on it. Really your point of view is also land art

  • Botticelli's Birth of Venus (or Aphrodite for the Greeks) was believed to have arisen from the foam.
