Burning is what puts you at risk for skin cancer. A tan is the body's natural protection from SUNBURN! Tanning responsibly & in moderation can help PROTECT you from skin cancer (& most other cancers).
If you burn easily; get natural protection (a tan). NEVER BURN!!!!
Blondes & redheads should take even more care to NEVER burn! If you always burn & can never get a tan, DO NOT TRY! Stay out of the sun!
Tanning indoors is smarter than tanning outdoors due to the control factors.
My wife has melanoma from the tanning salon. Thanks for spreading the word. Do not tan in a salon. You up your chance of cancer 75%. If you are red or blond haired you even have a higher risk. I am real my wife is a mother and she is real. She has a 10% chance to beat this (100 people with the same cancer as my wife 90 will be dead in five years). She had two surgeries and they removed all the limp nodes in her leg. All from a tan. That she paid for.
Also Vitamin D deficiency can result from inadequate intake coupled with inadequate sunlight exposure; disorders that limit its absorption; conditions that impair conversion of vitamin D into active metabolites, such as liver or kidney disorders; or, rarely, by a number of hereditary disorders. So you think you're right? So you girls? "out" and Indoor Tanning "in"!!
Hey, I live in North Queensland, Australia -which is THE CAPITAL of skin cancer in the entire world!! I really do where sunscreen everyday, because I KNOW how badly I will be burt if I dont. Everyone who insists this is all government brainwashing -why? Why would your own government be tryng to "coop you up and force you to live in a cave'??? Besides, by wearing sunscreen everyday you can give yourself beautiful flawless skin! Sure, go in the sun, just not from 10:00 to 2:00, Thats all they ask.
62 new cases of melanoma in one year - OUT OF 303,824,640 people. That would be like 1 in 5,000,000 (5 million) chance of getting melanoma skin cancer. Your chance of getting struck by lightning is 1 in 576,000. You have a 10 times greater risk of being struck by lightning than getting melanoma. Don't believe the propaganda bullshit! The sun is good for you - plain and simple!!
the second one is more stupid, because he's gunna get a major shorts tan line
