Giving money to ANY charity is a waste of money. Most charities are dishonest and squander their money, or at least whatever is left after the charity employees receive their huge paychecks.

I wish Charity Nav would do a better job at expressing more of the nuances. Your rating system's "capacity" flaws hurt charities working on short term capital campaign and those that donate assests back to the public trust. And now this video doesn't make any effort to make clear that the majority of charities never use for-profit fundraisers. Why not teach people how to ask about the fundraisers? That would make a big difference to on-the-spot interaction between a charity and donor.
