Starting with an unassuming slate, this video explores the question of whether or not Mary, the biblical icon for virginity & mother of Jesus, was actually a virgin. I explore this question on 4 axes: historically, biblically, socially, and biologically. With the various lenses given, viewers can further explore their own thoughts on the virgin birth.

  • @GetMeThere1 The more I talk to you, the less sense you make.

  • @CaptainSpellingError : OHHHH!!!! You were asking about recommendations for JOURNALS??? I thought you were asking for my sister's phone number!

Are you an AI program that got loose on the internet? I just wanna know.

  • @GetMeThere1 If you read my comments actually you would realize that I was asking for recommendations on journals(in essence) however, you react erratically and in a VERY over-aggressive manner. I intended on using that. You are attempting to paint me as some irrational person when I am nothing of the sort and nothing I have done thus far would demonstrate as such. I also sincerely doubt that your actions and speech would have been the slightest bit different in a PM. Just a gut feeling though

  • @CaptainSpellingError : You're...a lunatic? An alien? I don't know what. But you're someone who seems totally clueless about the (mis) appropriateness of this sort of exchange in youtube comments. If you had written me a PM (please DON'T) it might have been different.

In any case....if you "have a database at your disposal" then USE IT. What is it you WANT from me? (Wait, don't answer that--PLEASE!!!)

  • @GetMeThere1 You make various and many assumptions. I have a database at my disposal. I was asking you to recommend and suggest journals. Instead, you insult me and act quite rude. You are behaving quite oddly I would say. I'm not disputing your claim. I am asking for journals. That is it, as I am assuming that if you have such a belief as this then you would be able to point me to some. I have ZERO emotional investment in the topic, therefore my opinion is not swayed either way. Calm down.

  • @CaptainSpellingError : Your merely asked a simple question? And I gave you a simple answer...and THEN you asked me to be a librarian for you. Are you REALLY going to go to a university library to look for (perhaps 40 year old) academic journals? I somehow doubt that. If you're that energetic, then you don't need my help ANYWAY.

Surely, you would have looked into this issue if you're so interested, and you would know that there IS NO meaningful historical record--other than the NT.

  • @GetMeThere1 1) I saw stuff on his BOOK but not any journals.

    2) The peer review process occurs in virtually EVERY academic field.

    3) I don't care about your expectations, I merely asked a simple question.

    4) You are getting unnecessarily aggressive and defensive. I am not sure why this is. It is unneeded though. I am asking simple, easy to answer questions.

    5) Why would it be reviewed in a philosophy journal? I would assume this would be historically based.

  • @CaptainSpellingError : Now please do fuck off as quickly as you possibly can...

  • @CaptainSpellingError : I'm quite sure, if you look at Wells' Wikipedia entry (which one would assume you would have already done IF you were in fact interested in following up on this issue), I'm sure you will find references to his work. He is a professor at the University of London, and he is well known in this topic, therefore I would expect him to have published on it in academic journals--but I know nothing about the "peer review" process in philosophical journals.

  • @GetMeThere1 I'm not being a troll. That was a legitimate question. Has their research and the result of such been published in a peer reviewed journal, and if so can you point me towards it? As you may or may not know, peer reviewed journals are a fantastic resource for finding these things out, and how well their research and methods are carried out. It is a simple question, can you point me to peer reviewed journals on the topic?
