Manatees can't hear the low sounds of boat engines, which is why the animals are frequently injured, a researcher says. A high-pitched alarm could solve the problem.

  • Its like a walrus without teeth.

  • I want a manatee necklace and a stuffed manatee!!!^_^

  • manatee just don't give a fuck

  • Hahah, i love when the manatee tries to eat his head. I wanna help save the manatees. They're so cute and gentle, they dont' deserve to die out :/

  • They should make all motor boats in Florida be equipped with theses.

  • That may be nice, but i bet that sound pisses up other animals

  • For Ed and Laura they know how it feels; the Jewish population is nearly extinct too.

  • Dolphins are ffacinated by the spinning off a ships propeller, that is until they get chopped to pieces, this is such a simple problem to solve, all new ships and boats should position their propellers WITHIN the hull!!!

  • Boat propellers should be required to be in an enclosure, manatees are not the only creatures that fall victim to them, dolphins and whales are often harmed by them as well!!!

  • Should be made law to have these devises on any boat that rides the manatees waters. Top work by these scientists.
