@PaleHorseWC2 The FBI hostage rescue team uses custom 1911's and some Spec Ops guys use them too NOT STANDARD issue in spec ops though, As far as I know it is for The FBI Hostage rescue team. though.
@sexyself45 Ahhh no, great gun in it's day. That day however has passed. Just like the model T Ford had it's day and new designs are better. The Glock's, XD's Sig's and H&K's of today are better. I carried the 1911 during my military days but today, I carry a SIG on duty. And it is a better handgun.
Ehh.... I've seen quite some discussions regarding the M1911 and other guns... So... If you ever shot and relied on one before, you would know, the M1911 is a pretty tough gun, very reliable (Assuming you got a good quality one and you do maintain it), very customizable (Though, it's just to improve it's already good performance), and, matter of fact, it's probably the only gun who already has over 50 years of history... Nowdays it's still used by the Delta as well...
Still have my sidearm from when I left the Marines in 75'.. Not in the house, got it in a deposit box in town boke down. They would probably $hit if they knew it was there LOL. Great weapon last time I cleaned and used. Long history, I'm told by friend still in that many still prefer it. Did the job it was designed for. Amazing that after all these years something works with so little change.

@PaleHorseWC2 Ok, yeah, my mistake. But you get the point, it has history.
Well, the "Delta" used to use it, and I'm pretty sure some of their operators still use it.
Like, which? And are they still in use now days? And don't mention the Browning Hi Power. If it qualifies.

@zeus907 Its over 100 years old. You don't know what "Delta" uses, and there are many sidearms that have been in use for over 50+ years.
