I wrote the lyrics to this song some time ago. The melody was written by my favourite Greek musician Nikos Ignatiadis. Viewers in the Benelux may recognise this from Benny Neyman's hit "Zeker Zijn".
MORNING SONG
The dawn through morning window peeps,
I sit here and watch you sleep.
I think about our night of love,
And wonder if its ours to keep.
Our clothes lay all around the place,
Like tired runners who fell in a race.
I gently stroke your golden hair,
And lay a kiss upon your sweet face.
Now we are together, could it be for ever?
That would make my life complete.
Since you went away, I cried most every day,
This lonely man was in defeat.
You gave one more chance dear, may I have this dance dear?
This could be my dream come true.
Words could not express, my joy and happiness,
This morning when I woke with you.
Words could not express, my joy and happiness,
This morning when I woke with you.
Outside the mist yields slowly to the sun,
And birds awaken one by one.
I think about the mistakes Ive made,
And vow to right the wrongs Ive done.
I look back on all my days with you,
Thinking about the pain I put you through,
The sweet forgiving way you are,
Tells me your love is true.
You gave one more chance dear, may I have this dance dear?
This could be my dream come true.
Words could not express, my joy and happiness,
This morning when I woke with you.
Words could not express, my joy and happiness,
This morning when I woke with you.
Words could not express, my joy and happiness,
This morning when I woke with you.

Bij dit liedje denk ik aan mijn meisje waar ik veel van hou.
Zij is mijn leven en zij maakt mijn leven compleet.
Zonder haar heb ik geen leven.
A LOVE HAAR FOREVER.
Zonder haar wil ik het liefst Dood.
