!BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This song was written by the great songwriting team of Irwin Levine and L. Russell Brown who also wrote Knock Three Times and Tie a Yellow Ribbon. Both men were great Jolson fans. Levine also wrote This Diamond Ring for Gary Lewis and the Playboys before meeting up with Brown.

This song is special to me because of one vivid memory :
I think I was 5 or 6 years old. My mother was cooking dinner in the kitchen, and I was in the living room playing with my brother and sister. It was this very little, really tiny apartment. We had no TV, but we had a radio. And THIS SONG was playing. Mother hollered to me from the kitchen : "Don't let them out of the door again. Your father will be here any minute now. You know how he is ! "
THANKS FOR POSTING THIS.
