Go ahead and ask any question. I'll answer the best I can. To reasonable questions, that is. I want to help the public better understand cops. I know there are many out there who have a great dislike of police officers. That's ok. Take this opportunity to ask about whatever it is that made you feel this way. I cannot make excuses for any cop that broke the law him or herself. But I will try to explain the best I can as to what was happening. I'll be polite and truthful. ASK AWAY!
I want to be a cop and have had no criminal history but i have my michigan medical marijuana card i know you cant be a cop and smoke but if a gave my card up and then applied do you think i could still get a job even though i legally smoke marijuana in the past

@inkey2 probable cause refers to facts or evidence that would make a reasonable person believe that a crime or wrong doing has been, is being, or will be committed, so no, not everything can be construed as probable cause.

@inkey2 that's not probable cause, white shit on your seat, could be powdered sugar from the donut you just ate, have to do better than that. Maybe small baggies commonly used for drugs all over with white powder in them something of the sort. I don't think a judge would sign off on just white crumbs on the seat.

@thebatman101069 the problem is....almost anything can be construed as probable cause......like white cracker crumbs on the seat ou your car, a couple of empty baggies. All the officer has to say is that he observed a white substance on the seat of the drivers car

@inkey2 I did a quick research for gun laws in your state, there's two licences for guns, and A or B. If you have an A, that's a concealed carry lic and you can have a gun on you loaded. B it has to be locked in a container or the trunk and unloaded. But cops still need probable cause to look in your car. There's been some changes lately to the vehicle search warrant exception for warrantless searches but it still doesn't change you need probable cause.

@thebatman101069 I live in massachusetts....probably the least gun friendly state in the nation

@chevytech350 file a complaint against the officer. If he's less than honest and does this on a regular basis, the complaints will pile up and his less than honest integrity will come back to haunt him, as in investigated by his Internal Affairs or what ever they call it there, and possibly put on the Brady list.
thebatman101069 9 months ago
@chevytech350 mainly because it's for their protection. They don't know you, and they don't know what you're going to do. At night when flashlights are needed, when you point it in someone's face, it takes their night vision out of commision, so if the person they are contacting is a douchebag and want to do them harm, the cops have "disabled" them a little bit as far as sight goes.
thebatman101069 9 months ago
@inkey2 no. that's not probable cause to search your vehicle for guns. Probable cause proof that a crime has probably been committed. Just because you have a sticker on your car doesn't "prove" you probably more than not have a gun in your car. It's not like someone saw you with a gun, and as far as I know, just having a gun is not a crime, unless you're a convicted felon so you're prohibited. As for having a gun in your car, what state are you in so I can look at the gun laws.

Are all cops people who were picked on in school for being douchebags and decided to become cops to have power and be complete dickheads to the people who pay their salary? Actually not all cops I know one cool one.... so yeah just 99.99%?
