Seems a simple truth. When people have a stake in their country they have good motive to defend it. What better defense policy than that? Mosaic laws required the same, forgiveness of debt and freeing of slaves every seven years and every 50 years a redistribution of land (Jubilee). The idea was to prevent the formation of a permanent class of landless debt ridden people who would have no reason to defend their country. No Jubilee was ever observed and the prophets railed against land monopoly.

I suggest you Google Frederick Verinder and look for his book all of which is available online entitled My Neighbor's Landmark first published in 1911. There you will find the references you seek along with a clear exposition of what the bible and other Hebrew laws said about what we would call economic justice. Somehow most of those who profess to follow the bible do not mention the condemnation of land monopoly, land speculation, usury and other things that are now common practice therein.
