In school we learned a bit about the history of English accents, and you're "the original" accent is a bit off. While that might be the way it's often performed, Shakespeare's English supposedly sounded more like the Northern-Scotland accent of today.

Well, kinda, but only in that it had pure vowel sounds and that throat-clearing sound as in "loch". You'd have to imagine Yosemite Sam speaking Scots with a Norfolk accent... you wouldn't have understood a word.
Anyway, by "original" I didn't mean an accent Shakespeare would have understood. I meant a "normal" actor doing a decent job, to compare with all the absurd versions.
