I always thought Hank Snow was a Tennessee boy like me. Been listening to him since I was a kid. I have been to Nova Scotia and it is beautiful. We learn something good every day.

Now that's Canadian.
But there's something missing in this song. No mention of Ontario nor Toronto where I am from (specifically I am from Mississauga).
I once took a road trip to Nova Scotia on the Trans-Canada Highway but I only went as far as Springhill.
In this song there would be no mention of the 401 because at the time of this recording, the highway 401 was not yet connected across Southern Ontario. But to get to N.S., you have to leave Toronto on the 401.

Beautiful song. Nova Scotia is a truly picturesque and beautiful Province - I've been there and toured around quite a bit and love it and also loved the people. Regards from Malta.

My son Michael J. Snow is a country singer in Nashville, TN. Many people are asking if he is related to Hank Snow. Michael was born in Montreal, Quebec. My father is Leslie Roy Snow and his father Allen Hubert Snow (Michael's Great Grandfather) was from Newfoundland. We are currently living in Old Hickory, TN and I just found out Hank Snow also lived in Old Hickory down the road from us years back. If anyone has more information on the Snow family history of Canada would greatly appreciate.

What a great song about NS. I was singing at a "Jam Session" in Tatamagouche a while back and a senior came up to me with the hand written words of his song. He asked me if I could learn it and sing it the following week (which I did). Everytime I hear it, I think of this senior.
