If you were having a body transplant, Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow would probably be quite high up on your donor wishlist, and they both worhsip Tracy Anderson's cardio technique.

It's is an all-over body blast, made up of fast paced dance routines to thumping dance tracks.

It's not for beginners, but if you love dancing and already have a fairly good fitness level, she'll be perfect for you.

Tracy's theory is that reps result in 'bulking up', so the varied moves mean the toning and shaping is balanced all over you body.

Tracy first breaks down the routines for you to learn, which is a good workout on it's own, before going into the full paced versions. You can choose to follow her from in front or behind, depending on what's easiest for you.

It's an advanced workout, but if you are looking for a challenge and quick results, it's definately worth a try.

  • I CAN'T DO THIS!

because my room is small :(

  • On the YT video "Tracy Anderson Workout", comments were disabled, but she should talk about alignment during the sequences, esp during the abdominal sequence. People with little exercise experience are going to watch and attempt and possibly hurt their backs. It's easy to work with people who know about engaging the abdominals and not lifting the lower back off the floor, but, when dealing with the inexperienced hopefuls, the abs may not be strong enough, or they just don't know those details.

  • A background in dance and fitness do's and dont's helps but it can be done in a small space. I have to say I did notice my body begin to shape up after starting her workouts and I'm 52!

  • this is supposed to work

  • @itshomerbitch

totally!! It sucks! Not everyone owns an own "home fitness room" ! :-(

  • @itshomerbitch Then you need to shrink!

  • @RookieVids On the DVD she shows a breakdown of all of her combos and explains how to perform each move properly and effectively so you wont get injured..theres a seperate part of the DVD which features all combos one after the other for you to do once you no all the moves..the part of the DVD above is from the full dance bit..you dont need to hear her explain anything!!!

  • @cloverfield912

    Dude, you have NO CLUE.

I am doing this since 4 weeks and I am amazed

  • If i was jumping around 2 hours 4-6 times a week as she advises I'd be as slim as Kate Moss :D But beside that-my knees, joints would be hurt! can be very harmful!

No cuing, no real "teaching" choreography. She says to do the moves as she does-means how? It's a secret I guess ;) her jumping seems aimless.

I wonder why stars bought it.I guess she's very good at marketing.

There r much better instructors like Kathy Smith,Karen Voight, Denise Austin. At least they dont hurt you

  • how old is she?

  • Mine too! :(
