Georgias official international festival, the Azalea International Folk Fair of Valdosta, is pleased to
sponsor the Youth Invention Exhibition and Presentation on March 6, 2010 at the Valdosta-Lowndes County James Rainwater Conference Center.

In todays fast-paced society, early education is one of the most important ways to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for future success in the workplace.

The Youth Invention project is designed to address the need to bridge the disconnection between the learning achieved in school and the application of that learning to real-life situations beyond the classroom walls.

Students actively engaged in the creative process of inventing are more likely to become highly motivated and productive individuals. In exploring scientific concepts, students minds are challenged to solve problems, find patterns, and be innovative. These skills must be developed in every student in order to prepare him or her to meet future economic and technological challenges, regardless of their future path.

Azalea International Folk Fair of Valdosta created the Young Invention project to promote and coordinate these invention activities and encourage our students to grow into innovative, independent, adaptable, and confident individuals who are well-equipped to enter the workforce.

On March 6, 2010, outstanding young inventors representing Taiwan and the Philippines will bring their distinctive inventions to Valdosta. Please stop by to welcome and thank them for flying half of the earth to inspire our students here in South Georgia.

The Azalea International Folk Fair truly a festival like no other!

Valdosta-Lowndes County James Rainwater Conference Center; Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5 for school field trips and Saturday, March 6 for the Southeast regional festival.

Come travel the world, right here in Valdosta!!
