This 1978 Eldorado Classic Biarritz (Sunroof) model originally introduced to dealers in April 1978 is a rare find. There were only 2,000 of these limited production optional Biarritz models made and they were only produced from May through July of 1978 and never produced thereafter. Of these there were only 500 modified with sunroofs as original equipment at American Sunroof in the Southgate, MI plant—of which this car is one. This plant also applied the caps for the padded half-vinyl elk grain roof treatments and the interior window trim to style-down the size of the back window to match the exterior vinyl top. They also painted the front half of the roof and added the Biarritz trim molding and dark brown accent striping.
This 2nd owner car with only 60,445 miles painted in sparkling Demitasse brown El Dorado Biarritz represents a time in our automobile manufacturing that quality was king and this Caddy has got it all: powered by a 425 V-8, (we know the video says 350 and it is incorrect--it's really a 425) power steering, power brakes, power windows w/window lockouts, power sun roof, power seats, power trunk, cruise control, full climate control package including air conditioning, wiper delay, auto dimmer, new tires, new battery, AM/FM and yes—8 track (we'll even include some tapes for you), so in the event we forgot anything—FULL POWER! The car runs and drives exceptionally well and the only recommendations that I have are that car be sparkled up a bit with a good detailing, the beige supple leather interior shows nearly new. It even has the original owner's manual.
This car recently emerged from a long storage as part of an estate sale. Nearly $1700 has been spent in making the car road worthy again. It had a full safety inspection for a young lady to drive and after a couple hundred miles she thought it was more car than she could handle so now the car is for sale.
Come see and test drive this classic luxury car! 503-855-4345 or 503-998-5499.
