Here as promised, both for SiF and channel veiwers is a HQ Version of the Original Thomas and the Magic Railroad 1999 Theatrical UK Trailer.

Thanks to the following people...
ProjectDeadPictures (For showing the Batman Video it was on)
Teresa, at my school for helping me Transfer it to DVD
And TroublesomeTruck who has accepted this for the MRR Minisite!

After many years of long searching, it was finally found, originally on ProjectDeadPictures's Channel on the UK "Batman of the Future" VHS "School Dayz", I bought it version on Amazon and it had this trailer included!

The Trailer includes the original voice-cast.

Before Edward Glenn took the role of Thomas and Neil Crone as Diesel 10 the original voices where Isle of Mann Fire-fighter John Bellis and Actor Keith Scott, who were removed from the film after complaints from US Test Audiences, they were lucky to be still part of the film on this trailer, The Original voices for Splatter and Dodge are Patrick Breen.

The Trailer also includes some Deleted/Alternative scenes.

1. An alternative close-up of Mr Conductor shouting "All Aboard!"
2.When D10 rushes past Thomas and Gordon, Gordon is still wearing his grumpy face.
3. When D10 falls from the viaduct PT Boomer is nowhere to be seen, strangely he was added in to the US, German, Australia and later UK Versions of the final Trailer, Japan however cut him out.
4. Thomas crosses the broken viaduct rail with no close up.
5.There is a shot of Lilly laughing .
6. A close up of Mr Conductor blowing his whistle.

I am proud to have found this, and most of the credit must go to ProjectDeadPictures for showing the video it was on and to Teresa from my School for transferring it to DVD.

From the start this was shown on the UK Thomas and the Magic Railroad Website that you can still visit thanks to Web Archive...

Hope you enjoy this retro tip down memory Lane! :D

  • John Bellis wasn't a firefighter. Wasn't he a taxi driver?

  • He works for the fire service now

  • 0:50 If you look to the left, I think you will see studio equipment

  • Or it could be the other side of the viaduct

  • This is in one of the American VHS videos Spills and Chills

  • No, its from the Batman of the Future Video "School Dayz". The one your talking about is the teaser Trailer. This is the Theatrical Trailer

  • 1:13-1:14 Stanley's Whistle

  • When I first saw this trailer as a kid I though Alec Baldwin was Dick Van Dyke from Mary Poppins, what an epic fail I was XD it's just he looked so much like him

  • @SI3DFilms 1 question. Why did Neil Morrisey have to provide the voiceover for this trailer?

  • @TheUnluckyTug1 he WAS a fireman in a different context though, he worked on the Isle of Man Steam Railway, he also coincidentally worked as a taxi driver, his voice is much better than Eddie Glen's, shame people thought he was "Too Liverpudlian" and "Too Old", That's what Thomas on TV is all about! The Liverpudlian voice provided by the narrator! And Thomas was just over half a century old, he was 54 so, Bellis would've been perfect for the role!

  • Why did they show the ending in the movie?

  • I think John Bellis should voice Thomas in the upcoming WWII movie!

  • shining town ?

  • Boomer is heard not seen! Keith Scott wasn't screaming when he was falling off the viaduct, it was Doug Lennox's scream for PT Boomer!!

  • john bellis is better

  • john bellis is better
